Hello!
I’m Dr. Christina Clarke, a licensed psychologist in Atlanta, Georgia. As a Black woman of multicultural and multiethnic background, I have been immersed in a variety of cultures throughout my life. This fostered in me a passion for social justice and a desire to celebrate diversity. The intersection of my training, professional experience, and personal experience inspired me to develop a social justice coaching program that helps those desiring to create a world where everyone can live well and thrive.
I work with adults seeking to learn more about themselves and grow through past and current traumas. The adversities we face in life often cause us to keep our emotions at arm’s length, but the tricky part is that those emotions tend to show up one way or another. It could be through an argument, eating habits, shopping, isolating, or other behaviors that can manifest as depression and anxiety. Consistently connecting with your emotions can be a daunting prospect; however, I would love to support you in your journey. I believe you are the expert on yourself, and my role is to create a space to deepen your insight and provide the tools to accomplish the goals we set together.
The empirically based interventions I incorporate include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness skills training. I approach therapy from a multicultural, Black feminist lens that keeps intersecting identities, relationships, and systems in mind. I serve adults from diverse racial and cultural backgrounds who experience depression, anxiety, racial trauma, trauma, LGBTQ+ adversities, stress, relationship issues, and those that would like to focus on personal growth.
